I'm so fortunate to have been born and raised in northern Michigan.  It's allowed me to explore some of the most beautiful natural areas in the country right out my back door.  I currently live on a charming little lake in Kalkaska called Kettle Lake.  There's something very special enjoying my coffee from the dock as the animals are wandering back to their resting places for the day.  Sharing this lifestyle is perhaps what I most love about being a REALTOR!  Regardless of the product a salesperson represents, they must be passionate about it to be successful.  I am passionate about northern Michigan and especially the spectacular  land I represent from Traverse City to Kalkaska.  

Kalksaska is a terrific bedroom community of Traverse City featuring everything you might need including a bit of shopping, a handful of restaurants, and The National Trout Festival.  1/2 of the county is public land making it a specacular chioce for those who love the outdoors.  Gin clear lakes like Big Blue, Bear, Big Twin and Starvation are among the clearest in Michigan and are home to fantastic fishing for everything from panfish to pike to rainbow, brook, lake and brown trout.  Parts of the Antrim County Chain of Lakes also dip into Kalkaska County including Lake Skegemog, The Torch River and the south shore of Torch Lake.  Miles of stunning cold water trout streams meander through Kalkaska County as well highlighted by The Manistee, Boardman and Rapid River where Ernest Hemingway fished on his famous treks to points north.  One of my favorite places to enjoy a great hike is the one mile loop at the Seven Bridge Natural Area which winds along the fast flowing Rapid River.  Not only the site, but the sound of this beautiful little stream will sooth anyone's soul.
